LGBTQ+ Organizations

Technology Services and Solutions

Major strides towards equality have been made in recent years, but LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and employees still face many roadblocks to success in the professional world.

TenacIT is committed to being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community making inclusion, diversity and equality foundational pillars in our business. We’re not just saying it. We’re backing that support with actions.

TenacIT Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

We know that this is a sensitive subject for a variety of reasons, but to create the best workplace culture and community, every employee should feel supported and valued by their employer. Unfortunately, a study done by the Human Rights Campaign found that, despite significant progress in recent years, roughly 50% of LGBTQ employees still say they are closeted at work.  They don’t think anything would be done about it even if they said something and they don’t want to hurt their careers or relationships with coworkers.

Supporting LGBTQ employees may look different from company to company, but TenacIT’s main goal is to make sure employees are uplifted and treated like a valued part of the office community regardless of how they identify. The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. is famously quoted as saying “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”  At TenacIT we look to expand that level of acceptance to ALL peoples.

TenacIT’s employee resource groups and benefits for same-sex couples and transgender employees are some of the ways that prove our company not only welcomes employees of all gender identities, but will continuously stand behind them.

TenacIT's LGBTQ - B2B

Starting and running a business is hard enough without the added burden of acceptance tacked onto it.  At TenacIT we are a LGBTQ Ally, supporting as best we can, businesses that are LGBTQ owned or operated.  TenacIT is happy to provide technology services and support to any business, but make special accommodations for businesses from disadvantaged communities.  Providing our highest level of service and support, is a simple thing that we can do to lift communities.  Knowing that we are treating ALL people fairly and the emotional benefits that we receive from that equality are a bonus.

Now we won’t lie and say that our motives are completely altruistic.  We see this relationship as mutually beneficial.  For TenacIT, supporting the LGBT community is not only a social responsibility, but can also bring tangible benefits to our business and help it to thrive:

  • Attracting and retaining top talent:
By creating an inclusive workplace culture, TenacIT can attract a broader range of skilled professionals, including members of the LGBT community and demonstrating support for diversity and inclusion can attract talented employees who are looking for employers who share their values.
  • Improved reputation and brand image:
A company that supports the LGBT community can build a positive reputation and stronger brand image, which can attract customers and clients who also support diversity and inclusion.
  • Increased market share:
The LGBT community is a significant market segment and supporting them can help a business tap into this market and increase its market share. Companies that are seen as supportive of the LGBT community are often viewed positively by consumers and other stakeholders, which can enhance TenacIT’s reputation and increase its customer base
  • Innovation and creativity:
A diverse workforce leads to a range of perspectives, which can drive creative thinking and result in innovative solutions to challenges. A diverse and inclusive workplace can lead to increased creativity and innovation, which can benefit a business in a competitive market.
  • Improving work environment:
By fostering a supportive and accepting workplace culture, TenacIT can create a positive work environment, leading to increased employee satisfaction and reduced turnover.

We feel that supporting the LGBTQ+ community can bring numerous benefits to TenacIT, including a more diverse and innovative workforce, improved reputation and market appeal, and a better work environment.

As a commitment to the LGBT community, TenacIT pledges to:

  • Foster inclusivity and diversity:
TenacIT is committed to creating a workplace culture that respects the rights and dignity of all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
  • Provide support:
TenacIT will actively support the LGBT community through financial contributions and public advocacy.
  • Implement non-discrimination policies:
TenacIT has clear policies against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity and will ensure equal treatment for all employees.
  • Ensure representation:
TenacIT will work to represent the LGBT community in its marketing and advertising efforts, as well as through the presence of openly LGBT employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Engage with the community:
TenacIT values the perspectives and feedback of the LGBT community and will actively engage with and listen to them in making business decisions.

By making this commitment, TenacIT seeks to build strong, lasting relationships with the LGBT community and to play a positive role in promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equal treatment for all.

Now, we are sure there is more than a little (maybe a lot) of skepticism in our words. After all, a business is in the business of making money.  So let us put our actions behind our words. Reach out to a TenacIT Nerd today and allow us an opportunity to earn your trust and acceptance.
