Major strides towards equality have been made in recent years, but LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and employees still face many roadblocks to success in the professional world.
We know that this is a sensitive subject for a variety of reasons, but to create the best workplace culture and community, every employee should feel supported and valued by their employer. Unfortunately, a study done by the Human Rights Campaign found that, despite significant progress in recent years, roughly 50% of LGBTQ employees still say they are closeted at work. They don’t think anything would be done about it even if they said something and they don’t want to hurt their careers or relationships with coworkers.
