We know that this is a sensitive subject for a variety of reasons, but to create the best workplace culture and community, every employee should feel supported and valued by their employer. Unfortunately, a study done by the Human Rights Campaign found that, despite significant progress in recent years, roughly 50% of LGBTQ employees still say they are closeted at work.  They don’t think anything would be done about it even if they said something and they don’t want to hurt their careers or relationships with coworkers.

Supporting LGBTQ employees may look different from company to company, but TenacIT’s main goal is to make sure employees are uplifted and treated like a valued part of the office community regardless of how they identify. The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. is famously quoted as saying “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”  At TenacIT we look to expand that level of acceptance to ALL peoples. 

TenacIT’s employee resource groups and benefits for same-sex couples and transgender employees are some of the ways that prove our company not only welcomes employees of all gender identities, but will continuously stand behind them.

Starting and running a business is hard enough without the added burden of acceptance tacked onto it.  At TenacIT we are a LGBTQ Ally, supporting as best we can, businesses that are LGBTQ owned or operated.  TenacIT is happy to provide technology services and support to any business, but make special accommodations for businesses from disadvantaged communities.  Providing our highest level of service and support, is a simple thing that we can do to lift communities.  Knowing that we are treating ALL people fairly and the emotional benefits that we receive from that equality are a bonus.
